Chlorogen has exclusive rights to the leading patent estate of Dr. Henry Daniell (Auburn University and University of Central Florida). Additionally, Chlorogen has in-licensed the competing and complementary patent estate of Dr. Pal Maliga (Rutgers University) and has secured rights to the biolistics (gene gun) technology from DuPont. Combining the Daniell and Maliga patent estates provides Chlorogen with an impenetrable position with respect to the composition and use of plastid transformation of all plant forms.
